Her One and Only closes out Wade's Porter family series and I must say, I wish I had read the series in order. And not because I was completely lost (this can be considered stand-alone-ish), but because I missed out on getting to know the rest of the Porter clan. Dru, being the youngest and only girl of the Porter siblings, has something to prove. Gray Fowler, on the other hand, is a NFL superstar. Dru becomes Gray's bodyguard, oh I'm sorry, Executive Protection Agent after a series of threatening letters are sent to him, each one more serious than the last.
The banter between Dru and Gray is believable, as are Dru's family and Gray's friends. Being a christian romance, I was pleasantly surprised by the the way Wade set the tone. But I have to be honest here. The main reason why I loved this book? Dru Porter. Strong and resourceful, she is character that I admired from the get-go and continued to grow as I read the book. I would like to see a short story collection of Dru's other clients. Wade's writing is great, it's balanced throughout the entire book. I would definitely recommend this series to patrons and personal friends alike. I myself will be going back and reading the series from book one, Undeniably Yours
I received this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
